The one flute design of these bits is chosen when a faster cutting speed and increased feed rate is required, machining more material in less time. These bits are ideal for double faced veneered, laminated & melamine boards and other abrasive material.

Flutes are the easiest part of the end mill to recognize. These are the deep spiraled grooves in the tool that allow for chip formation and evacuation. Simply put, flutes are the part of the anatomy that allows the end mill to cut on its edge.

Solid Carbide provides better rigidity than high-speed steel (HSS). It is extremely heat resistant and used for high speed applications on cast iron, nonferrous materials, plastics and other tough-to-machine materials. Carbide end mills provide better rigidity and can be run 2-3X faster than HSS.

A two-flute solid carbide spiral ball nose bit is a cutting tool used in CNC milling and routing, often for 3D carving, contouring, and creating rounded shapes. It features a rounded cutting tip (ball nose) and two flutes (grooves) that follow a spiral path, aiding in chip evacuation and smooth cutting.
